After two bad experiences, finally found a plumber who knows what he's doing

I've had terrible luck with plumbers since moving here. First one charged me an arm and a leg just to snake a drain and then it clogged again a week later. Second one tried to convince me I needed a full repipe when it was just a faulty shutoff valve. I was about ready to give up and just live with the slow drains and the dripping faucet. Then a neighbor recommended a licensed plumber in Palo Alto who she's used for years and I figured why not give it one more shot. This guy actually showed up on time, explained everything in plain English, and fixed the problem for a fraction of what the others quoted. He even pointed out a small leak under the sink that I hadn't noticed and tightened it up for free. I'm not saying he's the cheapest option out there but honestly I'd rather pay a little more for someone who doesn't try to scare you into unnecessary work. If anyone else is struggling to find someone reliable, I feel your pain. It took me way too long to find a decent one.
